The IDF is putting on the pressure in Hevron. Israeli tanks today pounded the PA military headquarters building, which which was used by the IDF between 1967 and 1997, and an army bulldozer knocked down an outer wall. Israel demands the surrender of some 15 wanted terrorists hiding out in the building - although a P.A. negotiator who was allowed inside said he couldn\'t find anyone there.

\"Amazingly large\" amounts of explosives, according to army sources, were found in Hevron in the past few days.

One of those arrested in the Hevron area yesterday was the man responsible for dispatching murderers to commit the recent attacks in Adura and Karmei Tzur. A total of seven Israelis were killed in these two terrorist assaults, including husband-and-wife Eyal and Yael Sorek and five-year-old Danielle Shefi.

The army is also operating in Azmut, east of Shechem, and has arrested a number of terrorists. This follows the find yesterday of a huge arms collection in the Gind Prison in Shechem. The cache included at least 150 Kalachnikov assault rifles and hundreds of magazines for them, hundreds of bulletproof vests, an improvised bomb, dozens of improvised weapons, and grenades.

An IDF force also discovered this morning a ready-for-use anti-tank missile launcher and an improvised anti-tank missile. The find was made during a search of the Gush Katif bypass road in Gaza.
