Hundreds of members of the Bnei Akiva youth movement participated on Tuesday in an evening of song in memory of Ori Ansbacher, held at the Ein Yael Museum in Jerusalem, not far from where she was brutally murdered by an Arab terrorist.
Ori's uncle, Boaz Bar-Yuda, said that the family decided to create a special Facebook page in her memory - "Adding light – Continuing in Ori's Path" - with the goal that people will share good deeds they have done.
"Good will win, it must win," said Boaz. "You, the wonderful youth that have come to feel the pain together and to grow together, you are the great proof that the light will continue to increase until it expels all darkness. The world is moving toward correction. Our fight for this land is the way to bring the good. The land of Israel is bought in agony. Ori was chosen by God to be another stone in this building of goodness. It's hard and painful, this is probably the way God has chosen for goodness to appear in the world."
Speaking at the event were the rabbi of the community of Tekoa, Rabbi Avi Blidstein, friends of Ori, media personality Sivan Rahav-Meir, Bnei Akiva's secretary general Yair Shahal, national service director Reuven Pinsky, director of the Ye'elim Center Eitan Yogev, and others.
The secretary general of Bnei Akiva said, "In places where our enemies are trying to cling to darkness and evil, we will add light. In the place where Ori was murdered by a despicable murderer, we demand and want to connect to our land, our people and our Torah. The eternal people are not afraid of a long road – that is not just an expression. It is a way of life.”
