Rinat Kotkovsky, the wife of Likud MK Oren Hazan, gave birth to a son Tuesday morning.

In an Instagram post from Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center in Jerusalem, MK Hazan announced the birth of the couple’s first son and second child.

“Oh my goodness, I’m so proud of you,” Hazan wrote of his wife.

True to form, Hazan included a selfie of himself, his wife Rinat, and their newborn son.

Hazan drew criticism in 2017, when he pushed forward to the front row of Israeli officials welcoming President Donald Trump to Israel and pulled up next to the US president to snap a selfie of himself with Trump.

Rinat gave birth Tuesday morning exactly two years to the day since the couple got married, on February 12th 2017.

The couple had their first child, a daughter named Ori, in August 2017.

Known for his controversial statements and dustups with fellow lawmakers.

In last week’s Likud primaries, Oren failed to win a realistic spot on the party’s Knesset slate for this year’s elections. Oren has since requested a place on the Otzma Yehudit party’s list. Otzma Yehudit, which is polling at between 1-3% - below the 3.25% minimum threshold – is led by students of the late Rabbi Meir Kahane, including Baruch Marzel and Michael Ben-Ari.

Earlier this year, it was revealed that an Israeli Arab male nurse had plotted to assassinate Hazan.
