A police investigation of environmental infractions by Haifa Mayor Amram Mitzna is nearing its end, and police believe that the case against him is strong. The local Haifa paper \"Zman Haifa\" reports that Attorney-General Elyakim Rubenstein is scheduled to make a final decision on whether to indict him. Mitzna has reportedly admitted his responsibility for three years\' worth of streaming sewage into the sea, as a result of a fault in the sewage system that went unrepaired. Two other Haifa officials are also under investigation.
