The Settlement Subcommittee of the Supreme Planning Council in Judea and Samaria on Tuesday approved plans to build 1,113 housing units in Judea and Samaria.

In addition, the committee approved the commitment of plans for the construction of 488 housing units. This is an interim process and not an approval that is currently actionable.

The head of the Gush Etzion Regional Council, Shlomo Neeman, welcomed the building permits in the towns of Neve Daniel, Metzad and Carmei Tzur, as well as arranging for an educational institution in the town of Givot. "I thank Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu for granting such vital permits for the settlement project in Gush Etzion."

"We hope that concepts such as 'freezing' will remain historical concepts, and we will be able to give the sons and daughters of the residents who continue to live here. as well as new residents, the opportunity to take a significant part in the life of the community in Gush Etzion," he said.

"This is an important message to all those who are sabotaging the prosperity and success of the settlements, who are trying time and again to disrupt the growth of the flourishing settlement enterprise, and we hope that this is only the beginning of a building boom that will bring the news of more settlements. After the difficult evacuation of Netiv Ha'avot last June, we are now building and growing, and we will continue to do so."
