A Jerusalem court has indicted four Arab residents of eastern Jerusalem for expressing support for terrorist organizations during a recent wedding.
The indictments were issued by the Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court against four east Jerusalem Arabs who took part in a wedding in al-Azariya last month – including the groom.
The four suspects allegedly expressed support for the Hamas terror organization, and praised the October 9th 2016 terror attack in Jerusalem which left two Israelis dead.
The attack was carried out by Mesbah Abu Sbaih, a Hamas terrorist and resident of eastern Jerusalem – and the father of the bride at the wedding in question.
The groom, one of the four suspects indicted, is a member of the al-Shabab al Aqsa organization, a Hamas-linked group.
According to the indictments, during the wedding, participants praised Mesbah Abu Sbaih, singing songs in his honor and expressing support for his terrorist attack in 2016. Several participants also waved Hamas flags during the wedding.
The four suspects have been charged with public support of a terrorist organization. Other guests suspected of praising Hamas during the wedding are currently being investigated by Israeli authorities.
