Arutz-7 regrets an error in its recent report regarding the new community in Kokhav Yaakov inaugurated by Rabbi Mordechai Tendler of New York and many of his congregation members. Further investigation showed that it was not Rabbi Tendler who read aloud the letter by MK Yossi Sarid, nor did he make mention of Jewish-Arab demographics. Rabbi Tendler did say that it has long been his dream to start a new community in Israel, \"based on the teachings of my grandfather my teacher [Rav Moshe Feinstein] of saintly blessed memory, and my father my teacher [Rabbi Moshe Tendler].\" He further said, \"It is our hope that our community will truly to be a \'gate to Jerusalem,\' a place of holiness and purity, Torah ethics and practice, love and unity, as is appropriate for a neighborhood close to the Holy Temple… It is our hope that all the offices and schools and stores in our town there will always be great care taken to show sweetness and kindness, and that G-d\'s Name should be made beloved via us, and there should never be feelings of haughtiness or discounting of others - and hopefully we will be an example for the entire country.\"
