The IDF has issued an emergency call up of reservists to join the battle against PLO- sponsored terrorism. A brigade of over 1000 soldiers will be enlisted this morning, taken for military exercises, and will then join troops already engaged in the army\'s war on terror. Defense Ministry Director-General Amos Yaron told Israel radio yesterday that Israel’s upcoming offensive had the potential to be a “crushing offensive” against the PLO terror infrastructure.
In other war news, Lt. Anatoli Carasik, 22, from Petach Tikvah, who was seriously injured in a clash with terrorists near Dugit in northern Gush Katif last week, died of his injuries last night. He will be laid to rest in his hometown cemetery this afternoon.
