Sarah Antebi, mother of 16-year-old Chen who was lightly wounded in the shooting attack at the Ofra junction, rushed to the Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem to be with her daughter.
"We knew that she was fully conscious and that she was fine. The drive to the hospital was very tense and long, it seemed like an eternity to us," Antebi told Arutz Sheva.
"I am very grateful to God that nothing happened to Chen, a huge miracle happened to us on Hanukkah. We will not solve the problem with fear. On the contrary, it is symbolic that they stood right next to the place where the Maccabees fought, near Ofra. A lot of heroism was shown there,” she continued.
"We will not drive in fear and we will not be afraid to travel and live there. On the contrary - the fences and the bypass roads only transmit fear, we will stand strong with the help of God and just as the Holy One, Blessed be He, protected us, he will continue to protect us and all the people of Israel," said the mother, who is a resident of Beit El.
