The stormy weather in Israel today is causing flooding across the country. In the city of Rehovot, on The 5th of Iyar Street, a compound with three kindergartens was flooded.
Firefighters from the local station rescued about 50 children and a number of kindergarten teachers with two rubber dinghys.
Yavne Street, Hayarkon Street, and Nahal Snir Street were blocked in the industrial area of the city because of flooding on the road. Police are there to direct traffic.
In Tel Aviv large puddles formed on Allenby Street and the streets nearby. The Azrieli junction also became congested due to a traffic light malfunction caused by the rain.
In Rishon Letzion and Bat Yam residents reported flooding in several neighborhoods. Municipal teams in both cases assisted the residents.
