Thousands of friends of Israel around the world will in coming days receive a package from Judea, Samaria, and Gaza-area communities, including metal dreidels from Sderot. The initiative was started by the Lev Haolam organization that fights anti-Israel boycott activity.
Recipients also receive a letter from Internal Security Minister Gilad Erdan who wrote, “The organization and its supporters stand with Israel and show their clear, continuous love of the State.” Attorney Nati Rom, founder of the organization said, “I thank Minister Erdan for the cooperation. The number of Israel supporters in the world continues to increase.”
In Minister Erdan's letter, he discusses the BDS boycott movements, emphasizing that the support Israel receives from abroad gives strength to producers in Judea and Samaria and to pioneers as a whole.
Lev HaOlam’s project involves sending thousands of packages with products from Judea and Samaria to foreign citizens in over 43 countries who support Israel. Among countries represented are several in Europe, America, Australia, China, and New Zealand.
The letter says, “BDS organizations work every day to undermine the continued existence of the State of Israel, and to spread hatred and lies against the Jewish State… I believe that we must stand with unwavering determination as an iron wall against such hatred, refute their lies, and speak the truth in a clear voice.
“Thankfully, the Lev HaOlam Organization has taken up the call to fight the global boycott of Israel in general, and Judea and Samaria in particular. It does so by, among others, sending packages with products from Judea and Samaria to Israel’s supporters around the world every month. The organization and its supporters stand with Israel and show their clear, continuous love of the State.
“I want to thank you for your support of this important project. Your support acts as an important driving force for producers in Judea and Samaria and for the Jewish population as a whole, allowing them to continue establishing roots and building new communities.”
A dreidel is included in every package that is manufactured by Gave a-Israel Canada factory in Sderot. The factory is managed by Rafi and Albert Abeksis, Sderot residents since its establishment.
"The last few weeks of missiles wasn't easy. Employees didn't come to work, but our customers understood our situation, and postponed their work for a few days", Tells Rafi.
"All of our workers live in Sderot. We didn't leave even during hard times".
Lev HaOlam organization founder Attorney Nati Rom said, “I want to thank Minister Erdan for the support we've received from him. His support is crucial for continuing to build the connection with Israel supporters around the world, who will know that their efforts against the boycott are productive and helpful for the Jewish pioneers and for Israel as a whole.
“Currently, the number of Israel supporters continues to grow, and we continue to spread the truth with all our might. These same supporters act as ambassadors for Israel around the world and help in combating BDS lies. I hope that other ministers and public officials in the government will also join in recognizing those who support us abroad so they can continue their determined efforts.”
