The IDF Central Command issued an order this week declaring the areas of the Yesha communities a \"closed military zone.\" The practical ramifications of the order are that Arabs of the Palestinian Authority will not be permitted to enter Jewish towns in Yesha, unless they receive a special permit to do so. The order puts to bed a long-running dispute in many Yesha communities over the question of whether or not to allow Arab workers to enter the towns.

A special panel comprised of members of the government coalition partner National Religious Party, the opposition party National Union, and the communities of Judea, Samaria and Gaza is hard at work preparing an alternate route for the proposed partition wall/fence. Work on the divider began this week, stopped yesterday when the workers were fired on by Arabs, and resumed today. NRP Ministers Eitam and Levy will demand that the government discuss the fence and its political ramifications at the upcoming weekly Cabinet meeting on Sunday.
