Arafat\'s isolation even in the Arab world is increasing. Itim News Agency reports in the name of a \"senior PA source\" that Arab leaders used to phone Arafat frequently and update him on various international developments, but that this has all but stopped of late. Even Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak did not call him after his recent trip to the U.S.
Dr. Guy Bechor of the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzliya told Arutz-7 today that the cold shoulder shown Arafat is nothing new: \"It\'s already been like this for at least a half-year. The Arab leaders are very angry with him, as they feel he\'s drawing the region into chaos, a vacuum of sorts, and instability, and fear that he is threatening their regimes. They didn\'t expect this violence to spiral out of control as it did... At the recent Arab summit in Beirut, they were so angry at him they didn\'t even want to screen his video speech...\"
