The ministers of the security mini-cabinet convened for several hours today to discuss the chain of events that led to the quick withdrawal of the IDF from the PA autonomous areas in Gaza. Some of the ministers had criticism of the manner in which the decisions were made.

MK Tzvi Hendel (National Union-Yisrael Beiteinu) had sharp criticism of the sudden withdrawal: \"A government that gives in to the dictates of the U.S. and the extremist left, and lashes out at one of the IDF\'s best generals [Naveh] has no right to exist. This rushed and cowardly withdrawal shows that it would have been better not to have carried out this action, rather than to have this humiliating result.\" MK Michael Kleiner (Herut) demands that the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee convene to clarify the matter, because he does not believe that the withdrawal orders were given as early as yesterday morning. He said that the quick withdrawal \"is exhausting for the IDF and weakens Israel\'s power of deterrence.\"
