A Palestinian terrorist came running into a group of people waiting for rides home at the French Hill junction this evening, and exploded himself amongst them. It happened around 7 PM, and police say that at least six people have been killed. About 35 wounded victims were taken to various Jerusalem hospitals.

Israel Police Chief Shlomo Aharonishki said that given the inability to draw a clear delineation between Arab and Jewish areas in Jerusalem, it is impossible to stop every would-be suicide terrorist, \"but I wish to remind you that in the past two weeks, we have stopped three such terrorists, thus saving many lives.\"

The bus stop at which the victims were waiting is generally used by people who live in the southern Binyamin communities such as Kokhav Yaakov, Psagot, Beit El, Ofrah, Eli, and Shilo.
