The Bush Administration is against Israel\'s construction of the partition wall/fence along or close to the route of the Green Line. A State Department spokesman expressed objections last night to the partition \"if it is meant to mark the border between Israel and a future Palestinian state.\" He said that final-status issues such as borders must be solved in negotiations and not by the \"unilateral attempts of one side to set facts on the ground.\"
