An Arab terrorist from a northern Shomron village stabbed a Jewish man this morning at the Kedumim gas station, west of Shechem in Samaria. First to respond was a station worker who succeeded only partially in pushing the terrorist away. The target of the attack, a dentist from Shavei Shomron, was able to draw his personal weapon and shoot the terrorist, who was then shot to death by alert IDF reserve soldiers. One of the soldiers who arrived at the scene soon learned that it was his father who was stabbed. The man sustained light injuries and was transported to a hospital in Petach Tikvah.

In the last 24 hours alone, Israeli security services have apprehended three intended suicide bombers and discovered and dismantled a very large bomb - containing dozens of kilograms of explosives - intended for use in a terrorist attack. This morning, IDF soldiers apprehended a suicide bomber with an explosives vest wrapped around his body, in Atarot, just north of Jerusalem. The terrorist was apprehended when he tried to jump over the partition fence separating the industrial zone from Arab-populated areas. Sappers disposed of the bomb without incident. The two other would-be suicide mass murderers were a 15-year-old girl from the Bethlehem region and a 23-year-old female teacher from el-Arub, between Gush Etzion and Hevron.
