The Jews of Hevron continued their sit-in at Gross Square today for the third day in a row. They demand that the government order the army to take over the Abu Sneineh hills, in order to prevent the terrorists from continuing to shoot at the Jewish neighborhoods below. Hevron leaders noted today that the government has rushed to take care of the security problems newly faced by Sderot residents, while ignoring the dangers faced by citizens in Hevron.

Efrat Badihi of Kfar Darom in Gaza made a similar point today. Her statement:

\"We congratulate the Prime Minister and the army on the very welcome action in Gaza today and last night. At the same time, we are sorry about the timing, which indicates that there is a difference between \'blood and blood.\' In [the Gush Katif town of] Atzmona, a toddler [Ariel Yered] is fighting for his life-long capacities [after being hit by mortar shrapnel three weeks ago], and mortar shells here have become a matter of routine. In response, the army reactions were \'pareve,\' part of a long-term plan, and generally not so serious. But when shells fall on Sderot for the first and hopefully last time, immediately everyone screams that this cannot go on and the army right away carries out a major and effective offensive in Gaza, which of course is very welcome...\"

Cabinet Secretary Gideon Sa\'ar, speaking with Arutz-7 today, responded to these charges: \"I don\'t think that this is correct. I think that the government is taking actions over a period of time, and the government should be allowed to use its judgment...\"

When asked if last night\'s attack was \"policy\" or \"reaction,\" Sa\'ar replied, \"There is a policy that this was certainly a part of, but certainly there is an element in the policy that allows you to adjust the intensity of your actions according to what the enemy does...\"
