State Comptroller Eliezer Goldberg said today that he will \"consider\" investigating what some MKs called the \"humanitarian aspects\" of the IDF anti-terror offensive in Jenin. He said this in response to a request to do so by MKs Collete Avital (Labor) and Zahava Gal\'on (Meretz) at today\'s session of the Knesset State Audit Committee. Deputy Defense Minister Dalia Rabin-Pilosof objected to the very raising of the issue, saying that it represented a \"slap in the face to the IDF.\" Comptroller Goldberg side-stepped the issue by saying that the army was already investigating. He asked to receive the army\'s findings on the matter, based on which he would consider conducting his own investigation.
