Almost a year after he was wounded in a suicide terrorist attack in Hadera, bus driver Oren Friedman became a father for the second time. His new son, weighing in at only 4 lbs. 3 oz., was born 11 days ago, two months earlier than expected - and exactly a day before the first anniversary of the attack that almost claimed his life.

On May 25th of last year, Oren was driving the #841 Egged route from Tel Aviv to Kiryat Shmonah when one or two Palestinian terrorists detonated a car bomb adjacent to the bus inside the Hadera Bus Station. It occurred the day after the Versailles wedding hall disaster in Jerusalem, and Arutz-7 reported as follows: \"Palestinian terrorists could apparently not resist taking advantage of the national shock and mourning following the Jerusalem catastrophe, and exploded a car bomb... shortly after 2:00 this afternoon. The nation heaved a collective sigh of relief upon hearing initial reports that the only person killed was the driver of the car bomb himself. \" Over 50 people were wounded, however. Oren, who is still undergoing treatment for psychological and emotional problems he suffered in the attack, told Arutz-7\'s Yosef Zalmanson today that he is still unable to return to the scene of the attack - but he agreed that the birth of his son may well mark a milestone on his road to full recovery.

The baby will remain hospitalized for another month or so, but his mother was released this afternoon.
