Jewish actress and comedian Roseanne Barr said on Sunday that she hopes to one day make aliyah and maybe even run for prime minister of Israel.

“I want to move to Israel and run for prime minister. I do have that fantasy. If God calls me, I’ll go,” she said at the Jerusalem Post conference.

“I want to make aliyah, I do…I still have this fantasy of being an old Jewish lady living in the Jewish homeland... I want to buy a farm there and maybe bring my family,” added Barr.

The actress also spoke out against the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement, saying, “I hate everything that’s a lie based on anti-Semitism. I’m a Jew. That’s why [I hate BDS].”

The interviewer, Israeli journalist Dana Weiss, pointed out that “there are a lot of Jews who aren’t that fierce” about BDS, to which Barr replied, “I know. That’s very sad. Jews who are against other Jews has always been our problem since the first story in the Torah. So maybe this time we can something about it and change it.”

“We need to love each other,” she continued. “Jews need to love each other, and this has to stop because it threatens our existence every time.”

Weiss asked Barr about the phone call she got from President Donald Trump after the premiere of her revived television sitcom received excellent ratings.

“He said ‘Congratulations on the ratings.’ He’s really into ratings like I am,” said Barr, who added the thanked the president for his decision to move the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

“I want to thank you on behalf of my mother, and all the Jewish people for moving the embassy to Jerusalem,” Barr said, adding that Trump told her in response that “a lot of presidents have promised it, and I got it done.”

Barr has consistently lambasted BDS in recent years. Speaking at a conference in 2016, she said, “BDS is right-wing and fascist….BDS [members] do not want peace, nor do they want peace negotiations.”

More recently she blasted 21-year-old New Zealand pop star Lorde after she decided to cancel a show in Israel.

“Boycott this bigot: Lorde caves to BDS pressure, cancels Israel concert,” Barr said at the time.

Barr endorsed President Trump during the 2016 presidential election campaign, warning that a Hillary Clinton victory would “be the absolute death of Israel.”

While she later appeared to walk the endorsement back, she subsequently revealed in a tweet that she had indeed voted for Trump.

The comedian in the past described IDF soldiers as "Nazis," but in recent years has become just as fierce a supporter of Israel as she once was a critic.

Asked a few years ago about her change in stance, Barr said, "once I started reading, and once I started exposing myself to a wider variety of news sources than Haaretz and the Guardian and s**t rags like that, and I started to expand my point of view, which I should have all along – I don’t blame anyone but myself – I just became so dogmatic."
