European Union Foreign Minister Javier Solana met today with Foreign Minister Shimon Peres, and later with Prime Minister Ariel Sharon. The EU representative is trying to resurrect diplomatic negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Authority. CIA head George Tenet arrived in the region, to discuss with the PA a reorganization of its security services. He began his trip by meeting Egyptian leaders in Cairo this morning.
