Israel has called upon its citizens hiking in India to leave the country, in light of a feared escalation of hostilities with Pakistan. Hundreds of young Israelis arrived today in the Chabad center in Menali, some six hours\' traveling distance from Kashmir. Menali\'s Chabad representative Shimi Goldstein reports that all the buses leaving the city for New Delhi are full with Israelis on their way out of the region. Dozens of concerned parents have called the Chabad center in an attempt to make contact with their children. Israel\'s Consul-General in Bombay, Dov Segev-Steinberg, told Itim News Agency that there are close to 10,000 Israeli hikers in India. Israel\'s Foreign Ministry and El Al Airlines are making arrangements to help the hikers. The Israelis in India were said to be \"concerned\" but not \"worried.\"
