There is deep mourning in the northern haredi community of Rechasim following the tragic death of two-year-old Neria Tayyar, who was forgotten for five hours in his father's car.
A preliminary investigation revealed that Neria's father, Yishai Tayyar, supposed to take Neria to his pre-school in the morning. However, he forgot to do so and went to the kollel where he studies. His 12-year-old daughter arrived at noon to pick up Neria from the kindergarten and discovered that he had not even arrived there. She updated the father who had begun the search and found the toddler in the locked, hot car.
Magen David Adom paramedic Niz Cazdo said that the toddler was inside the house when paramedics arrived. He was not breathing and lacked a pulse. "We began to carry out resuscitation operations, but unfortunately we had to determine his death, apparently from heat stroke."
The time of the funeral has not been set.
