After 10 investigations by the Lahav 433 anti-corruption police unit, it appears that the police will recommend that Interior Minister Aryeh Deri be indicted for tax offenses.

According to the Kikar Hashabbat news site, the police are currently completing their work in the investigation file against Deri, who was last questioned last month.

According to the report, Deri will not face indictments in the most serious investigations against him, which included suspicion of a series of corruption and bribery offenses. Another charge which he was expected to be indicted for was money money laundering.

After his last interrogation, Deri wrote on Twitter: "I have just completed my interrogation and as usual I answered all the questions I was asked, everything is better and will be even better with God's help."

Deri, who was convicted in 1999 of bribery and fraud for crimes committed while serving as Interior Minister more than two decades ago, served 22 months in prison and was released in 2002. He returned to the Knesset in 2013 and led the Shas party in the 2015 elections.
