Levana Kokia, the mother of murdered soldier Sergeant Ron Yitzhak Kokia arrived Wednesday with her family to the Kiryat Shaul cemetery, for the first time that she commemorates Israel's Memorial Day for fallen soldiers as a bereaved mother.

She told Arutz Sheva, "I feel a tremendous embrace from all the residents of the state of Israel. It gives me a very good feeling."

Levana expressed great pain over the loss of her son, but sees it as willed from above. "We do not control anything, there's someone above who controls things and we can not prevent things, but it's a pity that so many soldiers have been killed."

"Ron was our youngest son. He has two sisters and a brother. He was a very serious and mature child, with kindness and a desire to help everyone. He was a young entrepreneur who developed an app for the entertainment of young people and had a great future ahead of him. But all that what cut short by a lowly murderer who, unfortunately, is a resident of the state of Israel from the Bedouin region," said Kokia.

Nevertheless, she had an optimistic message ahead of Independence Day. "Be strong and have courage, you need a lot of patience. Stop fighting one another because we have enough enemies from the outside. We have to be together and united because we have a wonderful people."
