The Ministerial Committee against Violence, headed by Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan, approved the Minister's initiative to provide a budget for the program for the prevention of violence among youth in local authorities in Judea and Samaria.

The program for the prevention of violence among youth in the local authorities in Judea and Samaria is designed to help connect youth at risk with the community of the community and to reduce dangerous behaviors among youth. For the purpose of the plan, the Public Security Ministry will allocate NIS 1.5 million (($430,000) out of the Ministry's budget.

The program for the prevention of violence among youth in local authorities began in 2016 in several local authorities in Judea and Samaria: Hevron, Kiryat Arba, Kedumim, Samaria, Beit El, Gush Etzion and Elkana.

According to research, professionals and reports of local residents and heads of local authorities indicate that the program has been effective and contributes to reducing delinquency and improving the scores of dozens of participants in the program.

According to Erdan, "In recent years, the program for the prevention of violence has removed many youths from the risk cycle in Judea and Samaria and throughout the country, so I decided to strengthen and expand the program in 2018."
