The Military Advocate General's Office is expected to file an indictment against the terrorist Ahmed Kunba for intentionally causing death, which is equivalent to murder in Judea and Samaria, in the murder of Rabbi Raziel Shevach in January.
Kunba was the driver of the terrorist cell that carried out the shooting attack in which Rabbi Raziel Shevach was murdered. The terror cell behind the murder was broken up in an IDF raid in Jenin in January, and Ahmad Nasser Jarar, the leader of the cell, was eliminated by IDF forces in February.
Attorney Haim Bleicher of the Honeinu legal organization, which represented the Shevach family, said: "The murderous attack was [carried out as] part of an organization that included a large infrastructure of accomplices and drivers for the murder. We expect all terrorist cells to be dealt with severely."
It was reported earlier on Kan Bet that the terrorist cell which murdered Rabbi Shevach had carried out a similar shooting attack earlier that week near Havat Gilad, where Rabbi Shevach lived.
Although the defense establishment knew in real time about the attempted attack, no roadblocks were deployed and members of the cell were not caught.
