An indictment was filed today against a worker in the TAMA 38 residential project in Ra'anana who broke into one of the apartments in the building and stole property and personal equipment.
The worker took advantage of his job in the building and broke into one of the apartments when no one was home. During the burglary the defendant allegedly caused extensive damage while breaking windows and closets inside the apartment.
Later, the worker took two suitcases and filled them with clothes, perfumes, a purse that contained a large sum of money, and a laptop. He threw the suitcases out the window and fled with them.
The fact that the apartment owners noticed him when he left the place and addressed him did not deter the suspect, and he continued with his business.
The State Prosecutor's Office seeks to extend the defendant's remand until the end of legal proceedings.
