The Tel Aviv District Court ruled today that the Pi Gelilot fuel depot will remain closed for at least another two weeks. However, it will open temporarily from now until Monday to allow the tankers currently parked there to leave. The site was ordered closed by the mayor of Ramat HaSharon last week after a bomb placed on a fuel tanker exploded and nearly caused a major catastrophe. Local residents have long warned of the site\'s dangers to the many local residents and thousands of cars that pass by hourly. The gas companies and the Ministry of Infrastructures petitioned the court to nullify the closure, claiming that it leads to a greater danger in that many fuel trucks travel more kilometers on the highway to reach other depots. Pi Gelilot workers have announced a \"labor dispute,\" fearing that their jobs are in danger. Last week, the government ordered the site to be permanently closed within 90 days.
