In early March, Prince William, Britain's Duke of Cambridge, announced that he will make the first-ever official British royal visit to Israel this summer.
According to Walla, Prince William was not originally supposed to be the first-ever British royal in Israel, but his brother Prince Harry. However, Harry called off his visit after getting engaged to American actress Meghan Markle.
The British Embassy refused to comment on the report.
Kensington Palace announced on March 1st that “the Duke of Cambridge will visit Israel, Jordan and the Occupied Palestinian territories in the Summer.”
The first-ever visit “is at the request of Her Majesty’s Government and has been welcomed by the Israeli, Jordanian and Palestinian authorities.”
