The new home for Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum\'s International Center for Holocaust Studies was dedicated last week at the Yad Vashem compound. Participants at the ceremony included donor Danke Gartner - a Holocaust survivor living in Austria - as well as former Prime Minister Ehud Barak, Yad Vashem Chairman Avner Shalev, and others. The Center was founded as an independent unity in 1993 to strengthen Holocaust research and to encourage advanced research projects. The documentation of children\'s testimony from the years 1944-5 will be a main focus of the Center\'s work, and three seminars will take place there in the coming months: One commemorating the 40th anniversary of the Eichmann trial, one entitled, \"The Return of the Jews to the Countries from Which They Came: Anticipation and Fear, 1943-47;\" and another about Nazi war crimes.
