The Arab terrorist who stabbed and seriously wounded an Israeli man Sunday afternoon in Jerusalem had been granted an Israeli entry permit.
On Sunday, 28-year-old Abed al-Rahman Bani Fa’adal, a resident of the Palestinian Authority-controlled town of Aqraba, near Shechem [Nabulus] in Samaria, stabbed an Israeli man, roughly 30 years of age, on Hagai Street in the Old City of Jerusalem.
The victim was evacuated to Shaare Zedek Medical Center, where he is listed in critical condition.
The terrorist was later shot and killed by police.
On Sunday night it was revealed that the terrorist had been issued an Israeli entry permit, allowing him to cross over from PA-controlled territory into sovereign Israeli territory.
The permit was reportedly a temporary entry permit, intended to allow Abed al-Rahman Bani Fa’adal to find work. Fa’adal reportedly received several entry permits in the past.
The Israeli man wounded in Sunday’s attack is reportedly still in life-threatening danger, hospital officials said.
Sunday’s attack comes just days after an Arab terrorist ran down and killed two Israeli soldiers in northern Samaria, and injured two more. The murdered soldiers were identified as Captain Ziv Deus, 21, from the Azor Regional Council, and Sergeant Netanal Kahalani, 20, from the town of Eliakim.
