Today is the 24th day of protests by the hearing-impaired community. The deaf demonstrators made good on their promise yesterday to escalate protest actions, closing down the Sakharov Gardens entrance to the capital from the Jerusalem Highway. Protest leaders say they will continue their vigil at the Jerusalem government complex until government leaders agree to meet with them and find a mutually-acceptable formula for increased economic aid.
