Ruti Peled, 56, of Herzliya, and her 14-month-old granddaughter Sinai Keinan are the two victims of last night\'s suicide terrorist attack in Petach Tikvah. Sinai\'s parents were wounded in the blast, and her father is in moderate condition - although it is hoped that he will be able to attend the double funeral of his mother and daughter tomorrow afternoon. Twenty-five of the more than 50 people who were wounded are still hospitalized. Four of them, including a two-and-a-half-year old toddler, are in serious condition, and eight are listed in \"moderate\" condition.

The suicide terrorist detonated himself outside a cafe in the Em HaMoshavot Shopping Center shortly after 6:30 PM. The police said that the presence of security guards prevented the terrorist from entering the cafe, thus averting an even greater disaster. The bomb contained a large quantity of nuts, bolts and nails, to maximize the carnage. Among the wounded are seven children, all of whom were taken to Petach Tikvah\'s Schneider\'s Childrens Hospital. The al-Aqsa Brigade of Arafat\'s own Fatah terror organization claimed responsibility for the attack - though this did not stop the PA from issuing an official condemnation. Hamas\' Sheik Ahmed Yassin released a statement vowing to continue to strike out against Israeli targets. The police were in fact on heightened alert in Petach Tikvah and environs for another attack today, and in Jerusalem as well.
