A watchdog organization monitoring anti-Israel incitement in the Palestinian Authority has recorded a significant uptick in PA propaganda encouraging violence against Israeli Jews following President Donald Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel last month.
Palestinian Media Watch documented that Fatah-run Awdah TV broadcast this song promoting violence 72 times in November 2016, the month of the 7th Fatah Conference. PMW provided a translation of the broadcast:
"There is no force in the world that can remove the weapon from my hand.
From my wounds, my weapon has emerged. Oh, our revolution, my weapon has emerged.
There is no force in the world that can remove the weapon from my hand.
This revolutionary people has sacrificed and offered in order to live in freedom!
My weapon has emerged. My weapon has emerged..."
"I'm coming towards you, my enemy, from every house, neighborhood, and street
I'm coming with my rifle and my faith."
Following the song, the official PA TV host spoke: "Welcome back, dear viewers. Yes! I'm coming towards you, my enemy, from every house, neighborhood, and street. We will come out at you from where you won’t expect it. We will come out at you from underground, from above ground, from every burrow, from every angle because we have a right. Not because we demand war and love bloodshed, but because we seek peace. We want to live in our homeland in freedom, security, and peace. There's no replacement for our homeland. There's no replacement for Jerusalem." (Official PA TV, Dec. 15, 2017)
A longer version of the song includes the following additional stanza encouraging "martyrdom":
"He who offers his blood does not care if his blood flows upon the ground
As the weapon of the revolution is in my hand, so my presence will be forced upon Israel
My weapon has emerged. My weapon has emerged."
The full lyrics of the second song threaten to attack “with cleavers and knives”:
"I'm coming towards you, my enemy, from every house, neighborhood and street
Our war is a war of the streets.
I'm coming towards you, my enemy
We're going down from every house with cleavers and knives
With grenades we announced a popular war
I swear, you won't escape, my enemy, from the revolution and the people.
How will you escape the ring of fire while the crowds are blocking the way?
I'm coming towards you, my enemy, from every house, neighborhood and street."
