Yesterday’s car bomb miracle continues to take on added proportions. The car exploded with tremendous force yesterday afternoon in the religious Beit Yisrael neighborhood of Jerusalem, but amazingly hurt, lightly, only one woman. It was reported that Israeli security services had advance warning of a possible Palestinian car bomb attack in Jerusalem. The explosion was caused by some 15 kilograms of explosives packed into the trunk of a car stolen from central Israel some weeks ago. It exploded some ten minutes after a vegetable store adjacent to the car had closed, and only 20 minutes before dozens of persons were scheduled to line up nearby for their weekly charity food allocations. The spontaneous celebrations of song and thanks by local residents and yeshiva students lasted well over two hours.
