Officials in the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip claimed Tuesday afternoon that two men riding on a motorcycle in northern Gaza were killed by what they described as a “targeted” Israeli military strike.
The two men were reportedly killed in Beit Lahia on the northern edge of the Gaza Strip.
But an IDF spokesperson denied claims Israel had carried out an attack in Gaza.
"Contrary to Palestinian reports earlier today, the [IDF] did not attack in the northern Gaza Strip".
Palestinian Authority health ministry spokesman Ashraf al Qudra told AFP that the two men had died “in Beit Lahia in northern Gaza after an Israeli strike targeted a motorcycle".
