The highest PA court ruled last night that Fuad Shubaki, the man who organized the Karin-A weapons smuggling ship, must be released from custody. The \"judges\" found him innocent of the charges because of what they called a \"lack of evidence.\" Shubaki is being held under American and British supervision in a Jericho prison, according to the terms of an agreement between Israel and the PA. Long-wanted by Israel, he had been hiding out with Arafat in the Mukata compound until his release. It is not clear if the PA will attempt to release him or not.
