Minister of Finance and Chairman Moshe Kahlon discussed the decision to hold the bodies of the terrorists who were killed in the explosion of the Gaza tunnel last week.
"The decision not to return the bodies of the terrorists to the Gaza Strip is the right decision, and we will not lack resources to protect the residents of Israel. As long as we have soldiers and civilians [held by Hamas] inside the Gaza Strip, we can not afford to conduct ourselves as usual," Kahlon said.
"Two years ago, the Finance Ministry and the defense establishment decided to build the barrier," he said.
"The cost was high and as finance minister I promised that we would finance this barrier because it is important and vital. I'm glad it proved itself, we now how necessary it was.Despite the high cost, the decision was correct," the minister added.
"The state, the Finance Ministry, and me personally as Finance Minister, will spare no resources or means to protect IDF soldiers," he said.
