Chava Mark, the widow of Rabbi Michael Mark, who was murdered in a terrorist attack a year ago, underwent an operation Thursday as she continued her recovery from the wounds she suffered in the same terrorist attack. The operation reportedly went smoothly.

Three months ago, Chava underwent another serious operation in the US.

The Mark family asked that Israelis and Jews around the world pray for their mother's full recovery. They called on the public to recite Psalms and pray for Chava Rochel Bat Ayelet Hashachar.

Rabbi Mark was murdered when terrorists opened fire on his car as he was driving near Hevron in July, 2016. His wife and two of the couple's children were wounded in the attack. Chava suffered multiple gunshot wounds to her upper body, and is still recovering over a year later. Their 13-year-old daughter also suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

Chava remained in the hospital for a long period following the attack, during which she lost an eye.

Chava and Michael Mark's ten children are being cared for by the elder siblings of the family.

In March, the terrorist who committed the murder was sentenced to two life terms in prison.
