An Israeli woman injured in a car accident Sunday in Nepal has succumbed to her injuries.

Nine Israelis were injured Sunday when a jeep overturned on the way to the Annapurna ridge in Nepal.

While eight of the victims were lightly injured, one victim sustained serious injuries which later proved to be fatal.

The deceased has been identified as Vered Aviyashar, a 26-year-old resident of Jerusalem originally from Kibbutz Ein Hanetziv, a religious Zionist communal settlement near Beit Shean in northeastern Israel.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry is arranging for Aviyashar’s remains to be returned to Israel for burial.

The other eight Israelis injured in the accident have been transferred to a hospital in the Nepalese capital of Kathmandu.
