Israel Police special forces on Sunday arrested a Bnei Brak drug dealer.

During their narcotics enforcement activities, officers noticed two 33-year-old men acting suspiciously and decided to carry out a search.

One of the men is from Bnei Brak and the other is from neighboring Pardes Katz.

Searching the suspects, police found 1.3 kilograms (2.86 lbs) of hydrocodone, an addictive opioid. It is suspected that the suspects had planned to sell the hydrocodone illegally.

The suspects were arrested and interrogated.

The Bnei Brak resident was found to be committing crimes while under house arrest. He will be brought to the Tel Aviv Magistrates Court, where his arrest will be extended until Wednesday.

"Catching these drug dealers is just one part of Israel Police's determined and uncompromising fight against the manufacture, growth, distribution, and sale of drugs," an Israel Police spokesman said. "Israel Police will use every tool available to bring the suspects to justice."
