On Tuesday, the Jewish Home Party will hold a "conceptual conference" at the Wohl Auditorium at Bar-Ilan University during which discussions will be held on current issues.
Among topics to be discussed: "We are dealing with the core issues of religious Zionism and Israeli society," Nir Orbach, Director General of the Jewish Home Party told Arutz Sheva. "There will be discussions that have not been held for years on quite significant issues, including the issue of Shabbat in the public sphere, and religious education. We are also talking about the issue of the periphery - about the real distance between the country's center and the periphery."
"In Israeli politics we hardly see a party taking time out from the legislative race and fieldwork to sharpen its vision, focus its goals, and return to its basic moral platform."
Orbach mentioned that Jewish Home is one of the three parties in Israel that conduct a canvass of its members and they are the ones who choose the Knesset list."The conference is for the members of the central committee, but we opened it to all members because they are an integral part of the party," he explained.
"In recent days, we have heard all sorts of news items about a constitutional plan being rolled out. The plan will be revealed at the conference and it's going to get interesting," Orbach promised.
