The Syrian army said in an official announcement that Israeli warplanes had attacked a military base in western Syria. According to the announcement, two soldiers were killed in the strikes and part of the base was destroyed.

Arab media reported on Thursday morning that a Syrian army base, which is apparently used to store chemical weapons and develop missiles, was attacked.

The base is located near the city of Al-Masyaf in the Hamat district in western Syria.

According to one report, the attack was directed at a convoy of weapons that passed near the base. Some of the reports attributed the attack to Israel.

According to some reports, three people were injured in the attack.
