The upcoming Shavuot holiday weekend this Friday and Saturday promises to provide some relief from areas in northern Israel that have been hard-hit by the sharp drop in tourism. Hotels and guesthouses in the Upper Galilee, Golan, and Jordan Valley report almost total occupancy - despite the continuing Hizbullah fire upon Israeli aircraft. Occupancy is listed at 80% in Tzfat and Metullah, and 95% in Kibbut Merom HaGolan.
