A Virginia family arrived home to find their home covered in blood, after their German Shepard attacked a robber while they were gone.
There had been many break-ins at their Ashbrooke neighborhood, and the brave actions of their family dog caused the intruder to leave empty-handed.
Tristan Murrin told WRIC News that this was the first time his dog had ever been violent.
"He plays with the kids, the cul-de-sac knows him,' Murrin said."The community loves him, the kids come up to him and want to touch him and play with him."
Murrin praised his dog for saving him from financial loss. “I think the dog did its job," he told the station.
"He knew that someone was not supposed to be in my house and no one was home and he knows that he wasn’t supposed to be in there and he was doing something that he wasn’t supposed to be doing and so he knew to act upon it."
