Meanwhile, the Catalonia police reported that the imam who is suspected of leading the terrorist cell which carried out the combined attack was killed in an explosion in the terrorists' hideout in the town of Alcanar Wednesday night.
The imam, identified as Abdelbaki Es Satty, is believed to be the radicalizing force behind the cell of young men who committed the attack in Barcelona and prepared the other attack in Cambrils Friday morning.
The search for the main suspect in the attack, Younes Abouyaaqoub, 22, has expanded to all European countries.
According to reports in the French newspaper La Parisienne, the vehicle that carried out the attack in the town of Cambrils was spotted about a week ago in France after a traffic violation was recorded on a speed camera.

Authorities believe that the terror cell consisted of 12 members, of whom only Abou Yaaqoub is still at large. Five terrorists have been killed, four have been arrested, and two died in a 'work accident' when a bomb they were making exploded.
