Two taxi drivers whose families were in conflict clashed on Sunday at the intersection of King George Street and Ben Hillel Street in central Jerusalem.
An IDF soldier standing nearby noticed the commotion and thought a terrorist attack was occurring. The soldier fired a warning shot in the air. No one was hurt.
A riot police team arrived on a motorcycle and determined that the incident was not a terrorist attack but a family squabble which spilled out onto the street.
The police arrested three suspects, including the two taxi drivers and a passenger who was traveling in one of the cabs. The police said that the soldier was also brought to the police station "in order to examine the circumstances" in which he fired his weapon.
