As July winds up and Israelis prepare to commemorate the destruction of both Holy Temples, Israel experiences a heat wave, expected to break sometime on Friday.

Wednesday's weather is expected to be warmer than usual for the season. Israel's inland and mountainous regions will experience dry heat, while the coast will be particularly muggy. The heat will be oppressive along the coastline, in the lowlands, and in the northern Negev, and extremely oppressive in the eastern valleys and Arava region.

Temperatures for Wednesday and Wednesday night are expected to be 24-39 degrees Celsius in Kiryat Shmona, 23-34 degrees Celsius in Tzfat, and 24-32 degrees in Haifa. Tel Aviv's weather will be similar to Haifa's at 24-33 degrees, while Jerusalem is expected to be 22-35 degrees and Be'er Sheva 23-38 degrees.

Thursday will be warmer than seasonal average. Cities along the coast will be muggy, while those inland or in the mountains will be hot and dry.

Friday will see a slight drop in temperature, and the heat will become less oppressive.

Saturday is expected to be partly cloudy or clear, with an additional drop in temperatures, bringing them down to the seasonal average.
